We’re excited to launch a major update that helps you identify and prioritize your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) companies more efficiently than ever. You can now define your Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) in Leadfeeder and instantly see which website visitors match. Create multiple ICP segments, track which channels bring in your best-fit audiences, and automatically generate folders of ICP-fit companies for easy follow-up.
What is an ICP Segment?
An ICP segment is a grouping of companies that match criteria important to your business — such as location, industry, or company size. With this feature, you can quickly identify the most relevant leads and get insights into how well your website traffic aligns with your ideal customer profile.
How to Create an ICP Segment
You can create a new ICP segment in two ways:
Option 1: From the Feed Insights Section
If you haven’t created an ICP yet, you’ll see a prompt in the Feed Insights section:
Click “Define ICP Segment” to get started.
Option 2: From Settings
Navigate to Settings > ICP Segments.
Click “Create New Segment.”
Defining Your ICP
You can define your ICP segment using the following criteria:
Please Note: You must select at least one of these three attributes to create an ICP segment.
Once you’ve selected your criteria, you’ll immediately see a preview of how many companies matched this profile within the selected timeframe — helping you set expectations before saving.
Click Create, and your ICP segment will be ready!
Updated Feed Insights
After defining an ICP segment, Leadfeeder will show:
Number of companies matching your ICP
Distribution of traffic sources
Comparison of all companies vs. ICP companies
Breakdown across multiple ICP segments (if applicable)
These insights are available across all feeds and help you see how your ICP aligns with your web traffic.
Automatic Custom Feeds for ICPs
For every ICP segment you create, Leadfeeder automatically generates a custom feed.
These are saved under a new folder called “ICP Segments.”
For example, if you define an ICP as “Tech companies in Germany,” you’ll get a corresponding feed pre-filtered to show those companies.
This saves time and makes it easy to act on ICP data without needing to recreate filters manually.
ICP Tags on Matching Companies
Whenever a company matches one of your ICP segments, Leadfeeder will highlight it with a special tag. This ensures that sales reps and marketers instantly recognize high-value companies as they appear in your feeds:
