Why Dealfront Target Emails Have Low Match Rates in Google Ads?

Target emails often won’t match in Google Ads. Use LinkedIn or our Google Ads Connector for better B2B targeting results.

Google Ads lets you upload email lists for audience targeting. But when using emails exported from Dealfront Target, you might notice the match rate is very low.

Why it happens:
Google can only match emails that are associated with Google accounts (personal or business). Most B2B emails — especially generic ones like info@ or sales@ — aren’t linked to Google accounts, so they can’t be matched.

Even business-specific emails like john.doe@company.com won’t work unless they’re actively used to log into a Google service like Gmail or Google Workspace.

In short:
✅ Your emails are valid
🚫 But most won’t match — and that’s expected behavior

What you can do instead

Try these two approaches for better results:

1. Use LinkedIn Matched Audiences

LinkedIn tends to match B2B emails more reliably, since it's a professional network. If you're running ABM campaigns, this is a better fit.

2. Use our Google Ads Connector via Google Analytics

If you’re using the Google Ads Connector (as shared by Helena), you can build audiences using firmographic data — like company size, industry, or location — without relying on email matching.

This gives you:

  • Better targeting accuracy

  • More consistent results

  • Easier audience creation within Google Ads

Need to know

While Dealfront Target provides rich B2B data, it wasn’t built for high match rates in Google Ads.

💡 Best use cases for Target-exported emails:

  • Sales outreach

  • CRM enrichment

  • ABM workflows

  • LinkedIn ad targeting
