When setting up or editing your company information in Dealfront—whether you're creating a custom feed in Leadfeeder or running a Target search by industry—you’ll come across a field labeled “Industry.” This isn’t just a basic dropdown. Dealfront uses a multi-level classification system designed to accurately categorize businesses. Here’s what that means.

An Industry on Dealfront defines the primary sector your business operates in. This is used for search, advertising targeting, content suggestions, and more. Dealfront's industry system is hierarchical, starting with a Top-Level Industry, and in many cases, branching into sub-industries for more specificity.
