Datacare Import Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Head to our import module, Datacare, via the Dealfront Lobby by clicking on the symbol or using the menu bar.

  2. Navigate to the menu bar on the left and open the Company Importer.

  3. Upload your company list via drag and drop or click on choose to browse your computer for the file.

You can upload files of up to 100,000 rows. After uploading, you will see a message saying it might take some time to process due to the file size. Do NOT close this screen while the file is processing. Once processing is complete, you will be taken to the next stage: field mapping.

Please note: Make sure that the uploaded file is in CSV or Excel format. Otherwise you will receive an error message when importing.

Only up to 100,000 rows are supported and any rows beyond 100,000 are discarded.

  4. From here you can ensure that the information in your columns aligns correctly with the Dealfront fields. You can edit all the fields manually, if needed.

The only obligatory column you need in your upload file is company name. However, it does help for the mapping to have additional information in order to increase your match rate (see detailed recommendations in screenshot below).

  5. After checking the mapping fields, click Process Rows.

The system will automatically try to match what Dealfront has in its Database to what you uploaded in your file.

  6. The results show how many 'Exact matches' and 'No matches' were found, and companies where a 'Review' is required.

  7. Click on Review Matches to go on.

  8. Here, you can manually select the company and have a look at the options Dealfront provides. Choose the best match and give it a checkmark by clicking into the field under Selection, or type in the number next to it on your keyboard.

After reviewing the companies, click Continue.

  9. On the last page, you have 3 options to continue processing the data you've just imported.

Add to List: Your list will be sent directly to Target to further use it.

Export as .XLSX or .CSV file: Export your imported file with enriched and up-to-date information from the Dealfront database. You can export up to 100K rows of data in all formats except for .xlsx. Exports in .xslx are limited to 50K rows.

After selecting your options, click Continue.

  10. If you selected Add to list, Target will be opened automatically. After naming the list, you can find it by clicking the list symbol on the left menu bar.

  11. Now, you can use your imported list within Target and include it in your searches. Switch back to the search section by clicking on the search symbol on the left menu bar.

  12. Click Add Filter and select Filter for Lists & Company List.

  13. Hit the "+" mark next to your imported List to show the companies. Now, you can add more filters (for example, contact filters to find the right contacts for your imported companies).
