How to Install and Configure Connect in Pipedrive

A step-by-step guide on how to install the Dealfront Connect application (app), to integrate Dealfront with Pipedrive

This article provides you with a step-by-step guide on how to install the Dealfront Connect application (app), to integrate Dealfront with Pipedrive. Follow the steps described below to install and configure the application correctly.

Installation and Configuration

The installation of Dealfront Connect is simple but is requires some prerequisites. Let's take a closer look at these and then we can proceed to the installation.

Prerequisites

  1. You must have a valid Pipedrive Account

  2. You must have a valid Dealfront Account

Installation Steps

STEP 1: Open Application URL

Visit the application URL: https://appconnect.cbsrv.net/pipedrive

STEP 2: Read and Accept the Privacy Policy

Click on the Login with Pipedrive button. A popup will appear displaying the Privacy Policy. Read and accept to continue.

STEP 3: Login with Pipedrive

When you click on Accept Privacy Policy, you will be redirected to Pipedrive. If you’re not logged in you will see the login screen, otherwise you will see the app installation page.

This installation page will display what kind of access is required on your Pipedrive account in order to use the app. Click Allow and Install.

Please note: The app can be installed differently for each user !

After a successful installation, you will be redirected back to the application success page, where further instructions are detailed.

There are three configuration forms you need to complete in order to be able to use the application:

  1. Dealfront Configuration

  2. Company Field Mapping

  3. Contact Field Mapping

  • You will see the default fields are populated, however, these are not yet saved. You need to adjust them as per your requirements, or save them if you want to proceed with the default

  • You will find multiple fields representing the same fields in your Pipedrive account. Start typing in any field using the '@' symbol to see the available options. Filter by typing in more characters and click to select:

  • Once you are done with adding tags, click Save

  • Repeat the same process for employee field mapping under the Settings menu

  • This mapping will come handy when you try to sync data from Dealfront to Pipedrive

STEP 4: Verify the Installation

  • To verify the installation login to your Pipedrive account and open any company

  • Click on 3 dots (menu icon) on the first panel on the page.

  • A new menu item “Echobot CONNECT” should appear.

Please follow the next steps for configuration.

Configuration Steps

Once the application is installed, you should be able to verify the installation using Step 4 from the previous section. Before you can start using the application, you will need to configure the application.

Please make sure you have met Prerequisite 2 to proceed with configuration. This means you will need a valid Dealfront account with Connect enabled.

STEP 1: Login to Dealfront

First, log in into your Dealfront account:

STEP 2: Create a new webhook

  • Open Dealfront Connect

  • Navigate to Settings > Data interfaces

  • Create a new Webhook

  • Fill in details.

  • Name the Webhook something memorable

  • Copy the Webhook URL from the success page you get after installing the app and filling in the required fields.

  • Click on Create.

  • Similarly create another Webhook for employees as well
