No matter what CMS you use, if you have Google Tag Manager it may be easiest to simply insert the Leadfeeder Tracker that way. Find out how by viewing this article and use method 2.

If you don't have Google Tag Manager, this may be the perfect time to install it! Many CMS systems have ways to do so easily and even recommend it as the best way to install all scripts.

We aren't experts in EVERY CMS, but we've compiled a list of some of the systems our customers use and have found some helpful links that may point you in the right direction!

Quick Links:

WIX

If your site is built with WIX we recommend using Google Tag Manager to install the Leadfeeder Tracker. Why? WIX has made it very simple to install Tag Manager! Here is how to install Google Tag Manager on your WIX site. Once it is installed then you can go right ahead with this article and use method 2!

If working with Google Tag Manager isn't an option for you, here is how to add the Leadfeeder tracking script to your WIX website:

STEP 1: Copy the Leadfeeder tracking script from your Company settings.

STEP 2: Within your WIX dashboard, open Settings, then open Custom Code in the Advanced section.

STEP 3: Click on Add Custom Code.

STEP 4: Paste the Leadfeeder tracking script, name it as “Leadfeeder”, select All pages, and place code in Head. Then click Apply.

Wordpress

This article guides you on how to add the Leadfeeder Tracker to your Wordpress site.

HubSpot

This article guides you on how to add the Leadfeeder Tracker to the header of your HubSpot site.

GoDaddy

GoDaddy has a few different products and options. Website Builders 6 and 7 are legacy products and no longer available for purchase. There is no easily available support for adding scripts, however, there are guides that may assist.

If you are using Website Builder Version 6, the document linked here has instructions for adding a script to page headers on pages 18 and 19.

For Website Builder Version 7, you can find instructions on how to add Google Analytics to your site on page 79 of this document. You could use these instructions to also install Google Tag Manager, or the Leadfeeder Tracker script directly.

GoDaddy's latest builder, Websites + Marketing does not appear to have a way to add custom scripts to the header.

If you still have trouble or aren't sure of your options you can contact GoDaddy Support here.

NOTE: Please note that in some cases Go Daddy adds the Leadfeeder Tracker to an iframe and that doesn't let the script fire in the correct way. If that happens, please add our script to GoDaddy via Google Tag Manager.

Weebly

Weebly appears to make installing the Leadfeeder tracking script simple. You may install the script the same way you would install Google Analytics as described in this article.

Shopify

The best method we have seen to install the Leadfeeder Tracker on Shopify sites is to use Google Tag Manager. Once you install Google Tag Manager on the site with these instructions you can proceed by viewing this article and following method 2.

Big Commerce

Similar to Shopify we recommend using Google Tag Manager to insert the Leadfeeder Tracker on Big Commerce sites. This article (not supplied by Big Commerce) demonstrates how to add Google Tag Manager to your site.

You also have the option to insert the script directly into your theme files. However, if you aren't familiar with your theme files and the impact errors can have on your site we recommend you consult with an expert.

  1. Log into your BigCommerce dashboard

  2. Navigate to Edit Theme Files > Templates > Layout > base.html

  3. Paste the Leadfeeder Tracker code within the <head> tags, right before the closing </head>

LiveEdit

If you are using LiveEdit as your website platform you can find simple instructions for adding custom scripts here. The "Code (Mixed HTML Mode)" will be the best option and you can use the 'Facebook Pixel' example they show, except you'll insert the Leadfeeder Tracker code instead!

Umbraco

Websites built on Umbraco may need more of a custom solution, depending on your familiarity. We'd recommend using Google Tag Manager to insert the Leadfeeder Tracker into Umbraco sites. If you don't have Google Tag Manager on your site, this may help. However, please speak with your web team about the best options for you.
