Get to know the core areas of the Leadfeeder dashboard

After you have signed up for Leadfeeder and installed your tracking script,

you can kick back and watch the leads roll in.

Now that you are swimming in data you will want to find out what to do with it all. Luckily with in Leadfeeder we have designed a comprehensive dashboard to navigate all of you incoming leads.

Leadfeeder dashboard basics

The Leadfeeder dashboard has three main three sections: Feeds, Leads, and Insights.

The feeds are custom rules used to filter leads. There are three basic feeds: All leads, New leads, and Top leads.

You can also create custom feeds. For example, if you want to see leads only from Norway, you could create a custom feed to show only leads from that country.

The center panel displays a list of leads for whichever feed you select. These can be filtered by date range or sorted by quality.

If you click on a lead or specific filter, you'll see more details in the right panel.

Leadfeeder dashboard settings

Before diving into your data, take a few minutes to get familiar with the settings in Leadfeeder Dashboard, including Website Accounts, Account and User Settings, and Learn More.

Website Accounts

The website option allows you to switch between sites if you have multiple sites. You can track multiple websites in Leadfeeder, so you'll want to make sure you're looking at the correct data.

If you only have one website, this area might not be clickable. Don't worry, that's just the way it's supposed to be!

Account and User Settings

Now for the super fun stuff — changing your name, billing information, integrations, and so forth.

Head to the upper right corner of your dashboard and click on your name to view your account and user's settings.

Here you can change your name, contact information, and notification details.

At the top of the settings screen, you'll see three tabs: Personal, Company, and Account.

The personal tab allows you to adjust your contact information, password, email notifications, invitations, referral program, and Zapier tokens.

The company tab allows you to adjust which CRM you use, marketing tools, billing information, and additional accounts. This is also where you can add other users to your plan and adjust access rights and permissions.

The account tab lets you change your company name, time zone, define Leadfeeder traffic filtering rules, set up automation, and view integrations.

Leadfeeder feed filters

This is where the magic happens. (Yeap, it's so important we even put it in our name.)

Leadfeeder feeds are the heart of our tool — these are the rules that let you sort and filter all those juicy leads so you can hone on in the best companies to target.

Here's what you need to know:

There are two types of feeds — basic and custom. Basic feeds include All leads, New Leads, and Top leads. Learn how to create a custom feed here.

Leadfeeder feed analytics

Our Feed analytics allow you to sort leads so you can get your hands on the most valuable leads for your company.

For example, you might check the New Leads filter to see companies that have visited your site in the last seven days. Or, you might want to see leads from companies that are in your CRM.

Feed analytics lets you dive in even deeper to see, at a glance, which countries and industries generate the most leads for your business in a given time period.

  • Step 1: Choose a Feed in the left panel.

  • Step 2: Choose the date range you want to view data on in the center panel.

  • Step 3: Look at the right-hand panel to see insights about the number of leads, average leads per day, top countries, and more.

Feed insights

Feed insights offer insights of a specific feed. For example, if you choose All Leads as your feed, you'll see a list of leads in the middle panel and Insights in the right panel.

Insights include the total number of leads in that feed, average leads per day, and top industries.

Leadfeeder leads

As we said before, the center panel displays all the leads in a specific filter.

For example, if you click All Leads on the left sidebar, you'll see, well, all the leads listed in the center panel.

Magic, right? 🔮

If you click on a lead in the center panel, you'll see insights about that lead displayed in the right panel, including the company name, website, industry, size, and quality of the lead.

If you scroll down in the right panel you can also view Lead contacts, which we'll cover a bit later.

✏️ How to assign a lead in Leadfeeder

Leadfeeder makes it easy to assign leads to other users. For example, if you see a lead come in from Canada, you could assign it to your Canada sales team.

Here's how to do it:

  • Step 1: Click the lead you want to assign

  • Step 2: Click the green icon in the right-hand panel

  • Step 3: Select an assignee, and add a comment.

✏️ How to tag a lead in Leadfeeder

Tags are an easy way to attach meta-information to leads and help you customize Leadfeeder.

Tagging leads helps you stay organized and create a streamlined process for using Leadfeeder. For example, you might want to tag current customers to avoid wasting time or make it easier to find prospects from a specific industry.

To add a tag, select the lead you want to tag, then click the Add Tag button on the right panel.

✏️ How to follow a lead in Leadfeeder

You'll receive a notification if any of those leads visit your website.

To follow a lead:

  • Step 1: Click on a lead you want to follow in the center panel.

  • Step 2: Look for the yellow bell icon in the right panel, next to the email icon.

  • Step 3: Look for the Followed Companies in Feeds > Basic > Followed companies

✏️ How to hide a lead in Leadfeeder

If you don't want to see a specific visitor or company in your feeds, you can hide the lead.

  • Step 1: Click the lead you want to hide in the center Leads panel.

  • Step 2:Click the trashcan icon in the right panel. Choose whether you want to hide all the leads from the same company or just that specific lead.

  • Step 3: Click Hide.

📣 Pro tip: The lead is not only hidden from the user's account but from ALL users of the account and the data about the lead will be gone.

Want to unhide a lead? Click your name in the upper right corner then head to the Account Tab > Hidden companies.

Click Unhide Company and the lead will show up in your feed again once the lead visits your website again.

✏️ Export to a CSV or Excel file

Want to export your Leadfeeder data? Here's how.

Start by selecting what feed you want to download. For example, if you want to download all leads, then select the All leads filter.

Next, choose the date range in the center panel. Then click the download icon, located next to the sort by quality button.

A dialogue button will pop up where you can choose the format and email address where we'll send your download.

✏️ How to import lists in Leadfeeder

Imported lists allow you to better track targeted companies visiting your website. For example, you might import your CRM list to identify existing customers so you can tag them. Or, you might upload a list of churned customers so you can see if they return to your site.

How do you do it?

Start by organizing the data you want to import into two columns: company name and company website, then save this file as a CSV.

Then, click your name in the upper right-hand corner and select Integration for <your website URL.>

Then select the Account tab, choose Imported Lists, then Import CSV file.

Upload the CSV file and click Save.

Now you can easily track targeted companies when they visit your site!

✏️ Leadfeeder contacts

One of the best features of Leadfeeder is our ability to turn anonymous website traffic into real companies you can engage with.

How do we do it? With Leadfeeder contacts. Click on the company you want to see contacts for in the center panel, then scroll down in the right panel.

You'll see a list of people at the company, including their email address and LinkedIn accounts when possible.

Note that these aren't necessarily the specific people who visited your website, but the people we determine are likely to be the best contacts for your company.
