We hope the Leadfeeder web visitor identification tool is easy to use and understand, but sometimes we know you'll have questions. Check out some of the most frequently asked general questions below.

If you don't see the question and answer you're looking for, we have answered many of your more specific questions in our Help Center FAQs collection.

Q: What do I need to use Leadfeeder?

A: The two requirements for Leadfeeder are:

  1. A website - our platform works best for B2B (business-to-business)

  2. (A script which needs to be installed into your website's code, or by using Google Tag Manager)

Q: Can I buy Leads from you?

A: No, Dealfront doesn't doesn't sell leads. We use first-party data from your website to identify companies that visit and show these to you in the Leadfeeder app.

Q: What is the point of Leadfeeder?

A: Leadfeeder is a visitor identification software service. It works with the Leadfeeder Tracker script. We use your site to collect data from visitors, then with our processing and extensive database of business contacts and information we identifyand show you the companies that are visiting your website and (in some cases) the people connected to them. This information can mean a warm lead who has already expressed interest in your business. Leadfeeder can help fill the gap between a cold call and a sign-up form.

Q: Can I track more than one website?

A: You can track multiple websites or website views. This article can help you identify what would work best for your situation.

Q: Can you tell me who visited my site? Do you identify people or just companies?

A: Knowing 'who' exactly visited your site isn't possible without them 'self-identifying', either by form or a chat for example. It is illegal due to privacy reasons as well as impossible to assure accuracy due to human nature (people use other people's computers). We identify the companies that visit your site and share with you the contacts related to that company when available. This article helps to answer this question in more detail.

Q: Can I get website visitor information in real-time?

A: No, we don't offer a realtime service. We update identified companies at a maximum every 5 minutes, but at least once an hour. So, at least 24 times a day for paid accounts and once a day for free accounts.

Q: Can I use Leadfeeder for my competitor's website?

A: No, you can only use Leadfeeder with websites where you have permission to insert the Leadfeeder Tracker.

Q: Which browsers do you support?

A: You can use any of the following browsers and their newest versions with Dealfront in general: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Microsoft Edge, Safari.

Q: Do you have a mobile app?

A: At the moment, we don't have a mobile app. You can vote on that feature idea on our idea platform.

Q: Do you have a white label option for your service?

A: No, however, if you are using the Dealfront platform to support clients and your service to them we have a number of data export options including, a Google Looker Studio connector, CSV download, and API.

Q: If I hide an identified company, does it hide it for everyone?

A: Yes, if you hide an identified company in Leadfeeder it hides it for your entire team. If you are interested in being notified about specific companies that meet certain criteria we recommend setting up a custom feed. You can learn more about hiding companies here, and about custom feeds here.

Q: When are the weekly email summaries sent out?

A: Monday morning around 9 AM (according to the time zone of your Dealfront account).

Q: What is the coloured bar on the left of each company?

A: The bar on the left of each company in your feed view is called the Quality meter, or sometimes Engagement bar. It is a quick indicator of quality based on information we have about that company. You can read more about it here.

Q: What are the coloured numbers beside the visits?

A: The numbered circles beside each visit are Visitor ID Numbers, which are identifiers of unique visitors to your site. The colors will vary and are only for visually distinguishing different visitors and repeat visits in a time range.

Q: Why do I see visited URLs as paths and not full URLs?

A: You can choose in your account settings how we show the pages to you: as URLs, paths or page titles.

Q: Does the Leadfeeder app have status page?

A: Dealfront has a status page where you can see the status of the platform as a whole and also each individual app. If there's an incident, please follow our status page here until the issue is solved. We always do our best to fix any problems as soon as possible. Please feel free to report issues to us via the live chat or by emailing support@dealfront.com.

Q: Are we able to identify companies in Leadfeeder when the person is using the private mode in their browser?

A: Yes we are. Private or Incognito mode in browsers do not block Leadfeeder.

Q: Can we track the visits when they are using Safari?

A: Note that Safari in Private mode nowadays blocks Google Tag Manager, so if a customer wants to ensure the tracking works they should install Leadfeeder outside of Google Tag Manager.Additionally if a paid Apple iCloud user has turned on the the Private Relay functionality in Safari, that prevents Leadfeeder identification from working.

Q: How can I submit a feature request?

A: If you have an idea to share with us, please feel free to submit your idea or vote for the existing ones here.

Q: I don't see my question here, how do I get an answer?

A: Search our Help Center! It has many other articles that may answer your questions as well. You can also contact our support team either by chat on the lower right corner or by sending us an email to support@dealfront.com.
