Close more deals, faster, with Dealfront. Our platform offers a set of tools to enable you to discover and engage with key decision makers. In this article, we'll cover the steps you need to take and which tool in the Platform to use: Target, Connect, Datacare, Leadfeeder or Promote.

How Can I Discover, Engage, and Close My Ideal Prospects with Dealfront?

1. Find Companies that Fit Your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

Tools: Target | Connect

The first step to Sales Prospecting with Dealfront is to find the companies that fit your ICP. You will use a combination of Target and Connect to achieve this. Target - our tool for lead generation - supports you with identifying companies that match your ICP and to find contacts of key decision makers. Connect provides you with up-to-date and detailed information about your target accounts, empowering you to reach out to the right accounts at the right time.

  • Go to Target and start a search

  • Choose from a combination of more than 100 unique filters to discover the companies that you want to reach out to the most

Target contains powerful filters for every use case: from firmographics, geographics, financials, technographics, trigger events, and employee-based filtering, to keywords, contacts, and website searches. Learn more about Target Filters here.

  • Save the companies or contacts into a List within Dealfront

  • Navigate to your newly saved List and open each company individually within Connect by clicking on the Company Name

  • Within Connect you will see detailed company information as well as employees and associated people, along with the highly-accurate contact details we have available for each.

Tools: Target Basic

The first step to Sales Prospecting with Dealfront is to find the companies that fit your ICP. Target Basic is a tool for lead generation - it supports you with identifying companies that match your ICP and in finding the contact details of key decision makers.

  • Go to Target Basic and start a search

  • Choose from a combination of unique filters to discover the companies that you want to reach out to the most

Target Basic contains filters for many different use cases: from company location or industry, to contact seniority or skills. Learn more about filtering with Target Basic here.

  • You can then either save the companies or contacts to a List within Dealfront, or export the contact details directly to your CRM.

2. Prioritise Your Prospect List Using Buying Intent Data

Tools: Leadfeeder | Connect

The second step is to discover which prospects are showing buying intent. There are a few different ways you can use the Dealfront products to find out which companies hit a sales trigger, visited your website, or are in the news. You can also get alerted on these signals.

Option 1: Leadfeeder

  • Go to Leadfeeder

  • Create a new Custom feed to filter down your ICP visiting the website, e.g. company country, industry and employee count

The Custom feeds feature within Leadfeeder is a filter system you can use to segment your visitors based on their online behaviour. Learn how to create Custom Feeds here and the different filters you can use.

  • Add a "Company List" filter using the List you created in Target at step 1

In your new Custom feed you will now be able to see which companies on your ICP List visit your website. You'll know how many times they've visited, which pages, where they came from and more.

Alerts

  • Go to Leadfeeder

  • Go to the sidebar on the left and open your chosen Custom feed

  • Click on “edit feed” and choose the "Automation" option to add a new automation to the feed, for example, sharing a notification via email when new companies appear

Option 2: Connect

Signals and News

  • Go to Connect

  • Navigate to the ICP List you just created in step 1. You can find the "list" icon at the top left of the Connect screen

  • Go to the "Signals on this list" tab, expand the "Selected Signal Types" and choose the specific Sales Trigger(s) you want to follow for this list

  • Go to the "News on this list" tab, choose whether to filter by news about or by the company, and whether you're looking for online sources or social media

Under each tab you will now be able to see the information you have requested, enabling you to reach out at the exact right moment.

Alerts

  • Go to Connect

  • Navigate to the ICP List you just created in step 1. You can find the "list" icon at the top left of the Connect screen

  • With the List open, go to the top right-hand corner and click on the "envelope" icon to "Configure Alert"

  • Choose the signals you want to get alerted on, along with the frequency, and save. Learn more about buying intent signals in Dealfront here.

Now you'll get notifications directly in your inbox whenever a company signal meets your criteria.

3. Find Lookalike Companies

Tools: Target

Now that you've found the contacts for your ideal customers, what can you do next? With Target, you can search for similar, or 'lookalike' companies that may not have been on your initial ideal customer list. Learn more about Company List Segmentation in detail.

  • Export a list of Won Deals or Customers from your CRM tool or use a Target list you created before

  • Import the list to Target via Datacare

  • In Target, navigate to AI Tools in the left hand navigation panel

  • Click Start on the Company List Segmentation option and select the new Won Deals/Customers List you imported or the already existing list of your interest

  • Start the Analysis and let AI do its magic!

  • The AI will build a selection of clusters for you to choose the cluster you want to explore further. If you move your mouse over a cluster, you can see keywords that have been assigned to that particular cluster and that give you an overview of the cluster content

  • Use the "Similarity of companies in a cluster" slider to adjust how close in similarity you want each new company to be

  • View this new list of companies and analyse which you'd like to add to your prospect list

4. Advertise to Your Target Companies

Tools: Promote

Keep your brand or product top-of-mind with display advertising campaigns targeted at open deals, nurtured leads, and prospects. With our Promote app, you can create highly targeted brand or product awareness campaigns with precision.

  • Go to Promote and Create a Campaign

  • Choose the List you created in Target as your target audience

  • Upload your creatives

  • Define your budget, location and more

  • Set your campaign live!
